I'm a teensy bit behind on posting, but Addy turned 14 months on the 3rd. Fourteen months old! And such a sweet, silly little thing she is! This age is loads of fun!
I'm serious, y'all. Sometimes I just want to eat her up!
Addy Lou has been up to some fun things lately.....
-She can show you her belly button. (so cute!)
-She can stand up all by herself. I think those first steps are getting very close!
-She has learned some super important words:
"Nino" and "Nana" (her Grandmothers ought to be very proud!)
"Bees" (short for Sarabeth)
-Another interesting word she says a lot....."Mine".
I'm drop dead serious. This child says, "MINE!" What?!?
We haven't quite figured out if it always means what we think it means, though. Sometimes she says it as she is reaching for something, and other times she says it as if she is calling Madelyn "Mine". [Maybe that is because she has heard her sweet big cousin say the "M word" from time to time.....who am I kidding? She's a two and a half year old. "Mine" is a staple of her vocabulary! ]
-She loves butterflies and ladybugs. She is always sure to point the out whenever we see them, whether it be in books, TV, or real life.
-Addy gets SO excited when she hears a train or airplane. She'll take a big gasp of air, look at me, and point to her ear. It's the cutest thing. It's like she's saying, "Do you hear that?!?"
She also likes to wave at airplanes in the sky.
Doesn't that seem like something a big girl does??
-We've been having nap issues. Up until a few days ago Addy has napped like a pro. But as of late, not so much. I'm wondering if she is transitioning to one nap a day....Let's be honest. This bums me out a little. (Prepare yourselves. This might sound a tad bit whiny.) I just really like the 1.5-2 hour nap at 10:00 and then again at 3:00. You know?
But since I am a "look-on-the-bright-side" kinda gal, one nap is nice because it is easier to be out and about. Plus, the one nap is typically longer. Which means a bigger chunk of time to get stuff done. So that's nice, too. And I suppose it's gotta happen eventually, right?
Whew! I just had to get that off my chest :)
-Addy has learned what sound a sheep makes. She loves to "baa"! She also makes a really cute elephant sound, too.
-Her favorite animal is definitely a dog. Whenever she sees one in a book, magazine, or real life, she gets super excited.
We let her look at a L.L. Bean catalog the other night and she had a fit over a dog modeling some type of apparel (??). Funny.
-Another thing that Matt and I love is how Addy waves to anything and everything. She's a friendly little gal! Today we made a quick grocery run, and when we would go past someone, Addy would wave and say, "Hi." We make friends everywhere we go. One of the cutest things EVER!
-As you can see, she is still a good little eater! Nothing like spaghetti and avocados!

a few of bathtime......
